For more than 25 years, SIP Protection has invested in the development, design and production of protective clothing for chain saw users. In 2001 SIP Protection joined the SIOEN Industries group. Due to the resources and support of this group, product innovation and development increased heavily. The protective system used in SIP Protection clothing, is a combination of a number of immobilising and speed reducing principles of the saw chain. Because of the unique features of the patented SIP Protection anti-cut material, they can manufacture products which comply with European Standard EN381, and which are light, comfortable and easy to maintain. SIP Protection has its own R & D department where all garments are developed and their own testing facility which allows solutions to be found for specific demands of chainsaw users. Having these facilities SIP are able to obtain the balance between safety and comfort. SIP Protection have many "firsts" in the chain saw protective clothing market. They were the first to reduce the number of layers of protection to 6 which provided lighter, less bulky, cooler trousers. They were the first with flexible outers giving more freedom and comfort. They were the first to achieve class 1 protection with 5 layers of protection and they were the first to produce class 2 garments with only 6 layers. SIP Protection have led the way with innovation over the past 10 years and are committed through their program of working closely with people who use their garments during their working day to continue designing, developing and manufacturing the very best in the future.
