Manufacturing gloves since 1947, Towa have become a name synonymous with quality and functionality. Exports started in 1963, and through a global expansion program Towa began manufacturing outside Japan in 1985. Production facilities in Malaysia, China as well as Japan supply the world markets. Towa was the first Japanese manufacturer of gloves to be awarded ISO 9002 certification, the toughest standard of manufacturing quality in the world. Their commitment to quality is demonstrated by their revolutionary MicroFinish ActivGrip and PowerGrab technology which provides a coefficient of friction (grip) double that of other manufacturers.
Towa believes that the most important stage of manufacturing gloves is creating the formers. They set this as their first priority when developing new products. Towa employ personnel, specialising in the shapes of human hands for making perfect formers. Their extensive experience in research and development, makes it possible to create ergonomic formers to make the most comfortable gloves. Towa believes that offering ergonomically designed gloves which actually fit the hands perfectly,  is what differentiates them from other glove manufacturers. Safety of users is also a big issue in the design of Towa gloves, hence the complete coating of the thumbs on all PowerGrab gloves, and by using Kevlar for liners. The PowerGrab KEV achieves the highest possible level 5 of cut resistance achievable within the CE standard.
